Cable Workshop (Knit)

Don't let cables make you cross! Cables are a high-impact technique that are easier to knit than you think. Class will cover cable basics, giving you the knowledge to follow a pattern with just about any cable included.

Date: Saturday, October 23, 2021
Time: 10:30AM - 3:30PM (with a 1 hour break for lunch.)
Feel free to bring a bagged lunch.

Pre-work:

  • Cast on 28 stitches.
  • Setup (RS): (k4, p2) to last 4 sts, k4.
  • Next row: knit the knits and purl the purls. Work total of 4 rows and end ready to work a RS row.

Skills: Students must be able to knit and purl without supervision

Yarn: Worsted - solid light to medium color recommended
Amount: Less than 100 yards
Needles: US7 or size recommended by yarn label
Extra / Notions: Two (2) Cable needles, note taking supplies, and basic knit tool kit

The instructor requests that masks be worn during this class.
