Show your support of your LYS as you knit something for yourself: Bricks, a Mystery Knit-Along
Bricks is a crescent-shaped shawl, worked with 3 colors of fingering-weight yarn. The clues will be released weekly, starting on Saturday, April 21.
The only way to get this pattern for the MKAL is to stop in at The Yarn Stop and buy it! Your purchase will get you an informational sheet with a coupon code to add the pattern to your Ravelry library. All clues will be distributed through Ravelry libraries.
Info sheets with codes will be available starting Wednesday, March 14.
You will need 3 (400 yard) skeins of fingering weight yarn (sock yarn) that fit the following rules:
Start with a variegated yarn. Striping, wave and gradients will not work for this pattern because of the type of color play it uses.
Pick 2 colors from the variegated and get those in solid/semi-solid/speckle. These 2 colors should be different enough from each other that they will stripe.
You will need a size US4 (3.5 mm) needle, 40” or longer.
You will need a cable needle.
Clues will come out on Saturdays: April 21 & 28, and May 5, 12, & 19.
If you need assistance selecting colors, Ann can walk you through some choices in person. Or there will be some suggestions set out at the shop.
This is a MYSTERY knit-along. If you participate and set up a project in your Ravelry notebook, please use the teaser pic (above) or a pic of your yarn selections as the first pic in the project.
